Activities Fair

Chantilly, Virginia – September 15th, 2025. Chantilly Robotics attended the Chantilly Activities Fair and found new members. On September 15th, during homeroom, Chantilly High School held the Activities Fair in the cafeteria where students could figure out which afterschool clubs are offered. This event allows students to figure out clubs with similar interests to them.

The team constructed a poster board explaining what 612 is and what FRC Team 612 does throughout the year. Furthermore, 612 explained all the fun events and what each of the subteams has to offer allowing them to reach a broader demographic. As well as the poster board, team 612 brought last year's robot, Pearl, to showcase the work and their finished product to student sparking interest. “I was surprised at how many people that I spoke to at the activities fair showed up to the meeting that night," said Veronica Sokolovski, Chantilly Robotics's Chief Executive Officer.

Overall, the event was a huge success with many students examining the tri-fold, showing interest in the intricate robot, and asking questions to leadership about how to join the club. Chantilly Robotics is always looking for new ways to expand their outreach and that starts within the school and their students. This event is the first stepping stone to increase STEM outreach within the school.
