Overview: Team 612 celebrates building a robot!

CHANTILLY, VA, MARCH 12TH, 2025. Team 612 proudly marked the completion of their first competition robot with a special name reveal ceremony, followed by final preparations for their upcoming competition and a celebratory team dinner at IHOP.

The team, composed of dedicated students, mentors, and volunteers, spent weeks designing, building, and testing their robot in preparation for the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition season. Their hard work culminated in the highly anticipated robot name reveal, a cherished tradition that fosters team spirit and showcases the team’s creativity.

The team held a strategy briefing, reviewing game rules, scouting reports, and their robot’s strengths to ensure they were fully prepared for the matches ahead. Throughout the competition, Team 612 energized the crowd with their signature chants and cheers, fostering excitement and team unity as they competed on the field.

After unveiling the robot’s official name, Pearl, inspired by the ocean theme of this year’s competition, the team completed the final packing process, carefully ensuring that all tools, spare parts, and essential equipment were ready for the competition. The night concluded with a team dinner at IHOP, where members reflected on their journey so far and geared up for the challenges ahead.
