Overview: Team 612 prepares to host a FLL tournament organized by volunteer team members.
NOVEMBER 16TH, 2024, CHANTILLY, VA. Chantilly Robotics is set to host an exciting robotics competition for 5th and 6th graders, giving students a unique platform to showcase their skills. This event not only fosters a love for STEM but also encourages teamwork and problem-solving among participants. Led by student head referee Shrikar, the competition will engage local youth in hands-on robotics challenges designed to inspire future engineers. With the support of volunteer coordinators and mentors, Team 612 aims to create an unforgettable experience for all involved, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and technical expertise.
This competition marks a significant milestone for Team 612, as they prepare to welcome around 15 students who will assist with various roles including setup, judging, and referee duties. Kaitlin Ilnitzki, Program Manager of the FLL in Virginia and DC, organizes and runs the tournaments to ensure success. The team is actively recruiting 6-8 student referees to ensure a smooth event. Participants will gain hands-on experience while learning to navigate challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of engineering principles.
