Overview:
Team 612 kicked off the season by developing a scouting website allowing teams to organize their scouting data for competition day
OCTOBER 14, 2024, CHANTILLY, VA. Chantilly Robotics programming subteam, led by Captains Siri Yakkala and Aditya Panjabi, successfully developed an FRC scouting website designed to enhance data collection during competitions. The website allows teams to enter critical data observed in competition from both the stands and pits, enabling the analysis of various aspects such as intake performance, autonomous scoring, and climbing capabilities.
The website has two dedicated programs, one for pit scouting and another for stand scouting. Members in the stands can input match numbers, team numbers, and performance metrics including autonomous scoring, endgame results, penalties, and etc. The program saves entries automatically, allowing users to easily access data by match or team numbers. Scouts can then gather information on team performance during matches, and assess robot features such as intake and shooter mechanisms. The scouting website was built using Vite and React for the frontend and Firebase for data hosting. The developers of this website aim to streamline the scouting process and provide the team with valuable insights into competitors' performance. Teams can also enter information using the pit scouting program, and focus on other aspects such as driving ability.
Without the support of our sponsors, Team 612 would not be able to finance the process of creating our robot and the education of our members. In addition, Team 612 wouldn’t be able to offer such diverse outreach opportunities to promote STEM in our community. For Team 612 to continue providing opportunities to the next generation of STEM innovators, they need continued support from sponsors.
