Overview: Chantilly Robotics kicks off the holiday season with food, fun, and games


CHANTILLY, VA, DECEMBER 9TH, 2024. As the Robotics pre-season is nearing an end, Chantilly Robotics 612 is holding its annual winter party on December 16th in the Chantilly cafeteria.

This party celebrates the hard work placed into preparing for competition during the preseason. As Team 612 approaches their fifth month of preparation, the team continues to foster an environment filled with festivities and enthusiasm. This robotics celebration hopes to bring together each subteam in a festive event, providing a greater sense of community within the team. Continuing a long standing tradition, 612 Subteam captains will bring several board games that the team has enjoyed in the past such as Monopoly, Cup Pong, and Uno. Additionally plans to bring handheld consoles, including a Nintendo Switch with Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and Mario Party.

By coming together as a team, sharing food, and enjoying games, the members continue to strengthen the bonds that make 612 a thriving and unified community. With traditions upheld and new memories created, this celebration is sure to set the tone for an exciting and successful robotics season ahead. 


About Chantilly Robotics 

Chantilly Robotics (FRC team 612) brightens the future for leaders and student technologists  within our team, school, and community through fun and engaging methods of learning and  teaching while shining a light on the importance of STEM (science, technology, engineering,  math).  

Founded in 2001 with eight student members as an engineering class project, Chantilly  Robotics is one of the largest extracurricular organizations at Chantilly High School with over  100 registered members each year. Team 612 competes at FIRST Robotics Competitions in the  Chesapeake District. Outside of competition Team 612 supports multiple FIRST Lego League  Teams and elementary school STEM activities in the Chantilly High School Pyramid, spreading  love for STEM as well as FIRST values through community outreach.
