CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA, June 28th , 2021. Chantilly Robotics FRC Team 612 completed its first ever all-virtual FRC season. During the 2020-21 season, Team 612 had 75 students and six mentors who actively participated in the Innovation Challenge, Game Design Challenge, Safety Animation, and Chairman's Award. Team 612 is pleased to announce that they were semi-finalists for the First Chesapeake Chairman's Award and are thrilled to hang a new Chairman’s District Award blue banner in the team pit this upcoming season.
On June 10th, Team 612 held an end-of-year banquet where they recognized 13 seniors with a student-designed Chantilly Robotics Alumni T-Shirt. The 2020-21 season’s leadership gave their final remarks to the team and celebrated a great season.
As Chantilly Robotics looks into the summer months, the team invests many hours on different outreach events. Chantilly Robotics’ Hackathon, Hack612, will be held in-person this summer for local high school students. Team 612 is looking for sponsors to provide judges and prize pools for the event. If you are interested in supporting Hack612, please email us at
chantilly.612@gmail.com. Team 612 is also working on an Outreach Bot in preparation for the upcoming year as students safely begin to return to school.
Without the support of sponsors like you, Team 612 would not have been able to compete in the 2021 season. Although Chantilly Robotics FRC Team 612’s virtual competition year was unique, it was a conduit for growth and memorable accomplishments. For Team 612 to continue supporting the next generation of STEM innovators, they need continued support from sponsors.
