Overview: Chantilly Robotics is ready to launch into an exciting 2025 season!
JANUARY 11TH, 2025, CHANTILLY, VA. At the beginning of 2025, Chantilly Robotics held the kickoff meeting at Cedar Run Community Church to discuss plans to prepare for the official start of the Robotics Season. The team discussed the strategies they would use to win the game.
612 subteam captains started off by presenting several fundamental Robotics ideas, including 612 member expectations, explanations for how an FRC match works, and goals for the meeting. They learned the basic formatting that FRC games follow, including the three phases of the match and the points system. They also learned that the main goal of the meeting would be to discuss the mechanics of the game and discover solutions to complete the game.
After the release of the official game manual, Team 612 broke into groups to discuss changes to the game from last year. Each group focused on a section of the game, analyzing and recording differences they found. The groups then presented their analysis to everyone as a whole. After splitting apart once again, they discussed strategies to effectively win the game, each group creating their own effective strategy. The groups then presented their strategy, and the team discussed options to create an effective strategy that plays to the rules of the game and could complete objectives.
Overall, Team 612 hosted an effective meeting to kickstart the Robotics season. They created a winning strategy that will lead them through the rest of the season, and plan to work hard to win FRC competitions. For more information about Team 612 and its community initiatives, visit www.frc612.com.
