NOVEMBER 13, 2019 CHANTILLY, VA: Last month, Chantilly Robotics FRC Team 612 participated in their first outreach event of the season: Air and Scare, held at the Udvar Hazy Center. Now, Team 612 looks forward to their next annual staple: the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Tournament. This event will be held on November 16th at Chantilly High School. At this competition, FLL teams, primarily elementary and middle school students, will learn the principles of STEM in an interactive and fun environment.

Team 612’s annual FLL Tournament is expected to be a fantastic event where engineers from 28 teams compete in challenging and intriguing matches. Through the FLL tournament, kids learn STEM concepts in a hands-on environment. The competition presents complicated principles in an engaging way that few classrooms emulate. The FLL tournament is staffed almost completely by volunteers from Team 612 who put in the enthusiasm and energy needed to get the tournament from planning to completion, paying the positive experiences they had forward to the next generation of FIRST students.

For Team 612 to continue providing opportunities like the FLL Tournament, they need your support. Your donations and sponsorship are essential to Team 612’s success both in competition and in the community. These events give young students the opportunities they need to become involved in STEM.
